Chancellor’s Greeting:

Irving HendrickWe in the Riverside Community College District are here to serve the needs of our community. Thanks to a broad diversity of high quality university transfer programs and an impressive array of career and technical programs offered through campuses in Moreno Valley, Norco and Riverside, students find in their studies with us personal meaning in the term "educational opportunity."

RCCD students seeking to transfer to a campus of the University of California, the California State University or one of the numerous private universities discover that time spent in study at one of our campuses or community-based education centers is time well spent. Not only do they gain an education fully comparable at the lower division level to what they would receive at the university level, their efforts are rewarded in another way: a substantial savings in tuition and fees..

At the same time, we recognize that many individuals wish to embark on careers that may not require baccalaureate degree study--at least not initially. Whether students are interested in administration of justice, welding, automotive technology, medical or dental assisting, office administration or any of more than 60 other career-oriented certificates, they find classes that fit their needs. When students leave RCCD, they are prepared to enter the workforce or advance in their chosen field.

Of course, the key to a fine education begins with excellent, dedicated faculty and students keen to learn. If you are such a student, regardless of whether or not you experienced success in your previous schooling, we in the Riverside Community College District are eager to assist you. By serving you, we serve our communities and improve the larger society in which we all live and work. Not only is doing that our mission, it is our passion!
