OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to
* Discuss mandates for Disaster Service Workers * Identify the role of and activation triggers for an Emergency Operations Centers * Identify steps to preparedness including conducting hazard and vulnerability assessments and preparing home/family, workspace and car for a disaster. * Demonstrate basic knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) * Identify operating functions of the Standardized Emergency Management System, such as Management By Objectives, Accountability, Unity of Command, Span of Control, Common Terminology and Functional Job Descriptions. Course can be taken FACE-TO-FACE or ON-LINE
