MISSION STATEMENT 

The Behavioral Intervention Resource Team (BIRT) offers assistance, education resources and consultation to faculty and staff in an effort to positively affect student retention and campus safety.

 

BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTION RESOURCE TEAM 

The Behavioral Intervention Resource Team serves as a central network focused on prevention and early intervention in college situations involving students experiencing serious distress or engaging in harmful or disruptive behaviors.

The Team develops strategies for and provides consultations to the college community when concerns arise regarding student behavior or when student behavior is destructive, disruptive or threatening.

This Team will regularly assess these situations in the college community and will recommend actions in accordance with existing college policies.
