New Students (first time college, starting Fall 2018)

Eligibility Requirements

·       2018 High School Graduate from Riverside, Alvord, Jurupa Unified School districts, or a private/charter school within these areas.

·         Complete your 2018-2019 FAFSA or Dream Act application

·         California Resident or eligible by your AB 540/Dream Act status

·         Complete the RCC Admissions application

·         List RCC as your home campus

·         Complete the Online Orientation

·         Complete your RCC assessment test

·          Be eligible to enroll in English 1A or higher and College Level Math by Fall 2018

·         If you do not meet the College level English and Math requirements above, You must be committed to becoming College Ready in these subjects in one year

·         Create your online First Semester Ed Plan (Available on your “MyPortal” account 2 days after completing the assessment test)

·         Commit to attending college full time (12-15 units each fall and spring for a total of 30 units each year)

·         Be a student determined to finish in 2 years or be College Ready in one year.

The RCC Promise Application for the Fall 2018 is open!

To be considered for the RCC Promise Program students must have applied to RCC, completed the assessment tests, and met the above requirements. The RCC Admission Department will contact eligible students by email with instructions and directions to complete the online Promise application. If you have questions regarding your status please visit the RCC Admission Department in the Charles A. Kane Building.
