Educational Talent Search (ETS)
The Talent Search Program at Norco provides economically disadvantaged and first generation college-bound students with academic support, access and exposure to postsecondary education.
Talent Search's primary goal is to improve high school graduation rates and academic competency of program participants.
Talent search is a team effort. This pre-college program, working in cooperation with the following schools from the Corona/Norco Unified School District, enables students to complete high school and enroll in a post-secondary educational program of their choice.
Intermediate Schools: Auburndale. Citrus Hills, Corona Fundamental, El Cerrito, Norco, Raney
High Schools: Buena Vista, Centennial, Corona, Norco, Phoenix, Santiago
The program is 100% federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education, TRIO Programs. Two-thirds of the applicants selected must be low-income and/or first generation college-bound (this means that neither parent has graduated from a four-year university). A limited number of students who may not meet the federal requirements are also eligible for the program.
Program Cost
The program is totally free. Students only need dedication and the desire to succeed.
