Why is Riverside Community College District a great choice?
Here are our students' top 10 reasons for choosing a Riverside Community College District campus:
What are the admission requirements?
If you meet any one of the following, you are eligible to attend a Riverside Community College District campus.
You have a high school diploma or equivalent
You are 18 years old and can profit from instruction
You are attending a local high school and would benefit from advanced scholastic or vocational work.
How do I apply?
Complete a free online application for admission if you are a new or returning student. You can also pick one up at any of the three campuses. Online applications are available at all times and are processed within 24-48 hours (weekends and holidays excluded). Applicants receive a welcome letter via email with next steps. Paper applications are processed within a week; they are not available two weeks before and two weeks after each term begins. Applicants receive a welcome letter in the mail 1-2 weeks after the application is processed. Be sure to send transcripts right away from your high school or other college(s) if you want classes taken there to meet prerequisites. See more information on applying.
After I apply, what do I have to do?
Most new students must complete an assessment test so we know if you need help with core skills of English, reading, and math. You are exempt from this requirement if you are enrolled in a four-year college or university or are taking classes to update your job skills, maintain a license, or for educational development.
We also require new students to attend an orientation and counseling session so they have the tools to succeed at going to college. Our staff will also assist you in developing your first semester educational plan. Be sure to bring any supporting documentation, such as transcripts from another college, to this meeting so that the counselor can help you make a good decision about the steps you will need to take to
