Studio Arts

A degree in fine arts can prepare students for careers in artistic fields such as a fine artist, an illustrator, an animator, a graphic designer, a printmaker, an arts administrator or an instructor in any of the visual arts. Within the major, students have the opportunity to focus on drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics or jewelry. Along with their art studies, students take liberal arts and science courses to build a strong curriculum.

Completion of the Studio Arts: Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) will prepare you to meet minimum lower division admission requirements (60 transferable units) for transfer to a California State University (CSU) and the University of California (UC) system. *For transfer to a UC, please consult with a counselor for additional courses that may be needed.
