Earthquake Preparedness at RCC

  • DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON immediately. Get under a sturdy table or desk, protect your head and neck, and hold on until the shaking stops.
  • If you’re outside, move to an open area away from buildings, trees, and power lines.
  • Remain calm and wait for instructions from RCC emergency personnel.
  • Check yourself and those around you for injuries. Provide first aid if you are trained.
  • Avoid using elevators and stay clear of damaged areas.
  • Follow RCC emergency alerts for updates on evacuations, campus closures, or further instructions.

If necessary, RCC emergency personnel will guide evacuations. Follow evacuation routes posted in buildings and go to designated assembly points.
