RCC CalWORKs Program
CalWORKs is committed to helping eligible families with supportive services, through collaboration with our community partners, to prepare them to pursue personal, academic, and career goals. Our CalWORKs staff is available to assist students by providing valuable services and resources needed to find success in school and in the workplace.

Program Eligibility
Students must:
- Be a TANF/CalWORKs recipient
- Receive cash assistance for yourselves and your child(ren)
- Have a minor dependent

Our staff is dedicated to assist you with your academic and career goals. As a participant of the CalWORKs program you will benefit from:
- Priority registration
- Career and academic counseling
- School Supplies
- Gas cards
- Work Study opportunities
- Verification of attendance
- Assistance with county requirements
- Commencement cap and gown
To assist in your success the county will provide services that may include:
- Childcare
- Transportation
- Textbook voucher
- Parking permit voucher
- Transportation fee voucher
You may be asked to provide the county with a number of documents. All except the Student Educational Plan can be found on Webadvisor/MyPortal. These include:
- Student Educational Plan
- Class schedule
- Textbook list
- Financial Aid award letter
- Transportation fee
- Parking permit fee
How to Apply
You can become an RCC student online, follow the instructions for:
- First-time College Student
- Transfer Student (have attended classes at other colleges/universities)
- Returning Student (former RCC Student)
- Veteran
- Extended Learning (non-credit trade education)
As a student at RCC, you will get notifications, register for classes, see charges and generate necessary paperwork through WebAdvisor and MyPortal. Once you are accepted an email will be sent to you with instructions.
Apply for Financial Aid on our website — you’ll find the information you need to know and a link to the FAFSA financial aid application. Don’t forget to use school code 001270.
Come into our office, Dr. Charles A. Kane Student Services and Administration Building, Room 202, and complete the CalWORKs application and County Consent for Release form. Please find forms below.

*You may email these items to CalWORKs@rcc.edu or bring them to the RCC CalWORKS office.
Make an appointment to meet with a CalWORKs academic counselor to receive career guidance, develop your Student Educational Plan, and assist with course selection.
You may also call 951-222-8648 or stop by the CalWORKS office located on the second floor of the Charles A. Kane Student Services and Administration Building.
Log into your MyPortal, Webadvisor, or EduNav account and select the required courses that are listed on your Student Education Plan.
