Riverside City College Honors Veterans with Two-Day Celebration Featuring Lunch, Games, and Resource Fair
Riverside City College (RCC) proudly celebrated Veterans Day with events dedicated to honoring and supporting those who have served. Over two days, the RCC community came together to show appreciation for veterans, offering lunch, games, and an extensive resource fair to connect veterans and their families with essential services.
On November 13, RCC hosted a lunchtime gathering from 12:50-1:50 p.m., featuring games and a complimentary meal from Chick-fil-A. This event provided an opportunity for veterans, students, faculty, and staff to come together, enjoy good food, and foster camaraderie in recognition of Veterans Day.
The celebration continued on November 14 with a Veterans Resource Fair held from 12:00-3:00 p.m., where a variety of organizations provided information on services available to veterans and their families. This event included Panera coffee and pastries. A long with additional refreshments, attendees connected with representatives from the following organizations:
- Corona Vet Center & Mobile Vet Center
- VA Loma Linda Post 9/11 M2VA Program
- Cal Vet/Cal TAP
- Riverside County Veterans Office - Claims
- VA Loma Linda Mental Health Division
- RCC Career Closet
