Riverside City College Excels in 2024 ADDY Awards with ADM Student Achievements

The Applied Digital Media and Printing (ADM) Program students at Riverside City College showcased their talent and creativity by submitting 13 entries to the 2024 American Advertising Federation (AAF) Inland Empire's student design competitions. Impressively, 11 entries, submitted by 8 different ADM students, secured awards, triumphing over competitors from local colleges and universities such as California State University San Bernardino, California State Polytechnic University Pomona, California Baptist University, and La Sierra University.

Iris Meriat emerged as a standout, clinching a Gold Award in Book Design. Her exceptional achievement qualifies her to advance to the regional competition, where she will compete against students across the West Coast.

The American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDY Awards, represent a pinnacle in advertising-focused competitions hosted by local AAF chapters. Riverside City College has actively participated in the Inland Empire AAF chapter since 2016. The competition is rigorously judged by seasoned professionals with extensive experience in advertising and related industries. Winning entries are distinguished by their technical proficiency, originality, and a solid understanding of advertising principles.

Participation and success in the ADDY Awards have given ADM students a significant boost in design confidence and a hopeful outlook for their professional futures in the advertising industry. The department remains committed to nurturing and preparing students for future competitions.
