Riverside City College Announces 2024-2025 Educating for Change Scholarship
The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC), in partnership with Riverside City College's Student Financial Services Office, is excited to announce the availability of the 2024-2025 Educating for Change Scholarship. This scholarship provides financial support to California Community College students who have a parent incarcerated in a prison administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
Award: Maximum $500 per semester
Application Period: January 3, 2025 – January 31, 2025
Please note: Funds are limited, and the scholarship will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of recipients will depend on the number of applicants, with recipients selected through a lottery system.
Qualification Requirements:
- Enrollment in a California Community College
- At the time of application, the student must have a parent in prison administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The term "parent" includes a biological or adoptive parent, step-parent, foster parent, or legal guardian.
- The student must be enrolled in at least 12 units. RCC will verify enrollment at the time of disbursement.
