Riverside City College Welcomed International Students at Spring 2025 Orientation

Riverside City College (RCC) successfully welcomed new international students during its Spring 2025 International Student Orientation, held from February 3-5. Hosted by the Center for International Students & Programs, the three-day event provided essential guidance to help F-1 visa students transition smoothly into college life at RCC.
The in-person orientation took place in the Nursing Building, Room NUR154, where students received important information on immigration regulations, academic expectations, and campus resources. Attendees also participated in a campus tour, engaged with student organizations, and had the opportunity to connect with faculty and staff.
Orientation Highlights:
✅ Day 1 (Feb. 3): Students were welcomed with opening remarks and introduced to immigration policies,
academic expectations, and student support services. A campus tour gave them a firsthand
look at RCC’s facilities.
✅ Day 2 (Feb. 4): Each student met with an academic counselor to discuss their educational goals and
course planning.
✅ Day 3 (Feb. 5): Students completed their class registration in groups at the Welcome Center in the
CAK Building.
Throughout the event, students were encouraged to ask questions, meet fellow classmates, and learn about campus life. Health insurance enrollment was also facilitated, ensuring that all students met their requirements before starting the semester.
"We were excited to welcome our international students to RCC and help them feel at home," said the Center for International Students & Programs team. "This orientation played a key role in preparing them for academic success and helping them connect with the RCC community."
