Riverside City College (RCC) and the University of California, Riverside (UCR) attended the 34th Annual Latina History Day, an event dedicated to empowering Latinas through leadership, advocacy, and education, held on Friday, March 7, 2025. This event was organized in collaboration with Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE), this year’s theme, Inspire – Unleash Your Creativity, encouraged students to embrace innovation and purpose in their personal and professional journeys.

HOPE’s mission to build power for Latinas was reflected throughout the day’s programming, which included dynamic workshops, networking opportunities, and engaging discussions designed to amplify student voices and celebrate both historic and contemporary achievements of Latina leaders. Attendees were treated to an inspiring luncheon program featuring Social Impact Strategist Elsa Marie Collins and U.S. Ambassador to Croatia (Ret.) Nathalie Rayes, both of whom shared powerful insights on leadership, advocacy, and the importance of community engagement.

Latina History Day served as a powerful reminder of the collective strength and limitless potential within the Latina community. Students left the Los Angeles event inspired to embrace their leadership journeys and drive meaningful change in their communities.
