JPMorgan Chase Partners with Riverside City College to Empower Students Through Financial Literacy

JPMorgan Chase continued its strong partnership with Riverside City College District (RCCD) by sponsoring and participating in Riverside City College’s (RCC) Welcome Day 2025, an annual celebration designed to connect new Tigers with the resources and support they need to succeed.
This year, Chase contributed a $4,000 sponsorship to support the festivities and hosted two Financial Health Workshop sessions during the event. The workshops equipped students with practical tools for managing money, understanding credit and responsible borrowing, and navigating banking basics.
This marks the second consecutive year JPMorgan Chase has joined RCC Welcome Day, reinforcing its commitment to helping students establish a strong financial foundation, with over 2,500 students in attendance.
Leading these efforts at chase is Cari Gordon, vice president and community manager at Chase, who collaborates closely with the RCC Financial Aid Office. In addition to Welcome Day, Gordon provides financial literacy workshops throughout the academic year to ensure students—particularly first-generation and underserved populations—have access to knowledge that fosters financial confidence and long-term stability.
“Partnerships like the one we share with JPMorgan Chase are essential to advancing student success. Their investment allows us to provide resources that go beyond the classroom, giving students the financial knowledge and confidence they need to thrive in college and in life,” said Marie Thermidor, RCCD Foundation development officer, highlighting the importance of corporate partnerships like Chase in supporting student success.
