RCC and CSUSB Continue Instant Admit Day, Supporting Students on Their Path to a Bachelor’s Degree

Riverside City College (RCC) welcomed California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) for another CSUSB Instant Admit Day, offering students the opportunity to receive real time admission decisions for Spring 2027. A total of 44 students attended the event, with 42 receiving admission to the university.

The event took place in the Business, Law, and Computer information Systems Building in room CIS 114B. Students met CSUSB evaluators who reviewed transcripts and confirmed eligibility in real time. Students waited with anticipation as they learned more about taking the next steps in their academic journeys.

Instant Admit Day continued the momentum of RCC’S growing transfer culture, reinforcing the college’s commitment to expanding opportunities for students pursuing four-year degrees. The partnership between RCC and CSUSB remains a cornerstone of that effort.

“RCC and CSUSB’s continued partnership for Instant Admit Day is really about setting our students on a path of continued success.” Said Lupe Delgadillo, Transfer Coordinator.” "Building strong partnerships between community colleges and local university campuses is essential for creating a seamless, equitable, and successful transfer pipeline." Delgadillo continued " With just our second event under our belt, I want to send a huge thank you to everyone at RCC and the CSUSB team. Your support made Instant Admit Day a wonderful success for our students and we are excited to do it again on October 13 for Fall 2027 admission!"

Dean of Counseling and Specially Funded Programs, Herb English, emphasized the significance of the milestone. “Our students work extensively to reach this moment. Instant Admit Day is proof that their hard work throughout their time here will ultimately lead them to continued success. Their academic success is not coincidental-They earned it through dedication and persistence.”

RCC and CSUSB will continue their collaboration and plan to provide future Instant Admit opportunities to RCC students. The initiative will continue to ensure that students have access to clear, supportive, and attainable transfer pathways.
