Alvord Adult School is in the House!
Riverside City College (RCC) is excited to share that the RCC Adult Education program hosted a fantastic campus tour for their educational partner, Alvord Adult School, on October 7. The event took place from 6 PM to 8 PM, and it was a wonderful success thanks to the leadership of Delia Tijerina, Thea Quigley, Adrienne Grayson, Lamar Neal, Anne Lenox, Jessica Contreras, Leo Rivera Garcia, Vanessa Zamudio, and Kristopher Acevedo. Their hard work and dedication made this event truly exceptional.
Engaging Campus Tour
During the tour, Alvord Adult School students were divided into three groups, allowing them to explore various buildings on the RCC campus and experience a taste of college life. This included visits to the CTE Engagement Centers. The groups were conducted in both Spanish and English, with bilingual tour guides who were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that everyone felt included and engaged.
Delicious Treats and Thoughtful Gifts
The RCC Adult Education program collaborated with RCC Outreach to provide delicious treats and generous gifts for adult learners. After the tours, Alvord adult students and employees enjoyed a delightful feast catered by Zacatecas, featuring carne asada, tortas, and potato tacos. In addition to the amazing food, everyone received tote bags, cups, glasses, and other goodies to remember the day.
