RCC awarded 2021 Champion of Higher Education for Excellence in Transfer

Riverside City College is proud to be among the leading California Community Colleges and California State University campuses being honored as a 2021 Champion of Higher Education for Excellence in Transfer. The Campaign for College Opportunity recognized Riverside City College among just 12 California community colleges for working with intentionality to support community college students through the Associate Degree for Transfer. 

“Increasing transfer rates is the result of hard work by members of our faculty and classified professional staff across the College," President Gregory Anderson said. “Our students know that they can reach their goals of transfer here at RCC.”

Riverside City College awarded 923 Associate Degrees for Transfer of its 3,985 associate degrees conferred. The ADT provides a streamlined pathway between California Community Colleges and the California State University (CSU) system.      

Champions of Higher Education for Excellence in Transfer awards will be presented to Riverside City College at the Champions of Higher Education Celebration virtual event on November 16.

The Campaign for College Opportunity’s mission is to ensure that all eligible and motivated students in California have an opportunity to go to college and succeed. The Campaign remains committed to keeping the State of California from breaking its promise of college opportunity to its next generation of young people in order to ensure a strong state for all.
