Riverside City College (RCC) received a 2023 Ford Explorer Titanium edition from Ford Motor Company and Fritts Ford Dealership of Riverside. This donation, facilitated by key supporters Marie Fritts, Dwayne Pratt, Kyle Kline, and Joe Bahna, will greatly enhance the educational resources available to students in RCC’s Automotive Technology program.

The state-of-the-art mid-size SUV, equipped with the latest technology, will provide RCC Automotive students with hands-on experience in advanced automotive systems. The training will include advanced driver assistance systems, communication and network diagnostics, and advanced electronics—essential skills in today’s rapidly evolving automotive industry. The vehicle’s inclusion in the curriculum is part of RCC’s connection with the Ford Automotive Career Exploration (ACE) program and the Automotive Apprenticeship program.

Riverside City College President Claire Oliveros, Ph.D., noted, "Our mission is to provide students with hands-on, advanced-level education, and this donation perfectly aligns with that goal. We are deeply thankful to Ford Motor Company and Fritts Ford for this incredible gift. It will give our students practical experience and superior training in the latest automotive technologies. Such partnerships are vital in equipping our students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the automotive industry.”

Both Fritts Ford and Ford Motor Company have a long-standing legacy of philanthropy and community involvement. Founded by the late Rick Fritts and now led by his wife, Marie Fritts, Fritts Ford has continually supported local initiatives and organizations by providing quality vehicles and exceptional service. Ford Motor Company’s philanthropic efforts build pathways to education and prepare the next generation of leaders for careers in mobility, technology, and trades.
