RCC School of Nursing Recognized Again as an Apple Distinguished School
Riverside City College's School of Nursing has once again been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2024, extending its previous distinction awarded in 2021. This honor highlights the continued innovative use of Apple technology in both classroom and clinical settings, which enhances nursing education through creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
Apple Distinguished Schools are recognized globally for their leadership and excellence in education, particularly in integrating Apple technology to transform teaching and learning. RCC's nursing program exemplifies this by using iPads and other Apple tools to support digital literacy, improve patient outcomes, and prepare students for professional success in the healthcare field.
During the pandemic, the School of Nursing successfully maintained enrollment across all programs, equipping each student with an iPad to ensure uninterrupted learning. This access to technology allowed faculty to rethink nursing education pedagogy and deliver a high-quality, engaging experience despite the challenges.
Apple representatives visited RCC on September 26 to present the award in recognition of these ongoing achievements.
