Riverside City College Highlights Nursing Apprenticeship Programs at Statewide Conference

Dr. Tammy Vant Hul, Dean of the Riverside City College (RCC) School of Nursing, led a distinguished panel at the California Organization of Associate Degree Nursing (COADN) Spring 2025 Conference on March 10. The panel, titled “Bridging Education and Practice: The Value of Nursing Apprenticeship for Students and Community Partners,” showcased RCC's innovative Vocational Nursing (VN), Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN), and Registered Nursing (RN) Apprenticeship programs.
Joined by fellow panelists Dr. Mary Fehn, Associate Professor at RCC School of Nursing; John Wilson, Apprenticeship Director at RCC; Justin Susi, Associate Director of LAUNCH; and Jessica McFarland, Regional Director of Recruiting at PACS, Dr. Vant Hul explored the advantages of nursing apprenticeships for students, employers, and the institution. The session also provided practical insights to colleges interested in developing similar initiatives.
The presentation was met with enthusiastic feedback, leading to an invitation for Dr. Vant Hul to submit a proposal for the panel to present at the national conference in Nashville this November.
