Social Justice Studies - Ethnic Studies

Social Justice Studies - Ethnic Studies
The Associate in Arts for Transfer in Social Justice Studies – Ethnic Studies is designed to provide a clear pathway to a CSU major and baccalaureate programs in Social Justice or Ethnic Studies, or to programs focused on ethnic groups such as Africana Studies, Asian American Studies, Chicanx/Latinx Studies, or Native American and Indigenous Studies. Ethnic Studies is an inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary study that explores the ways that ethnicity, race, racism, and white supremacy shape the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and people of color in the United States. This discipline draws from the perspectives of other fields, such as History, Sociology, Anthropology, Education, Music, Art, and Literature to offer courses that present a diversity of topics. California Community College students who are awarded an ADT are guaranteed admission with junior standing somewhere in the CSU system. This priority does not guarantee admission to specific majors or campuses.
