The Riverside City College, in partnership with California Community Colleges Finish Line Scholars Program offers RCC students financial assistance while attending courses at RCC through a generous donation to the California Community College Foundation. Finish Line Scholars Scholarship Program
To apply for the Finish Line Scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

Must be eligible for the California College Promise Grant (CCPG). You can determine if you are eligible by reviewing your financial aid award letter on your RCC Portal.

Your goal must be completion of a certificate or degree program, or transfer to a four-year college or university.

You must take at least 12 units or maintain an alternate full-time equivalent status during the fall and spring terms to receive payment of the scholarship funds.

You must have completed at least half of the required credits toward your stated program of study. For example, for AA/AS/ADT programs, you must have completed at least 30 degree applicable units towards the required 60 units for the program.

You must have a Student Educational Plan on file for your stated program of study, showing a realistic goal of completing your program in under 2 academic years.

You must meet at least 2 of the below requirements:

Have completed transfer-level English

Have completed transfer-level Math
-
Have a GPA or 2.5 or higher

Students pursuing a STEM major or accepted to the RCC RN program as well as first-year Finish Line Scholars Scholarship recipients will be given priority.

Riverside City College, in partnership with California Community Colleges Finish Line Scholars Program, is excited to offer the 2024-2025 CCC Finish Line Scholars Program Scholarship. The scholarship is to help students who are halfway through their educational program complete their certificate, degree or transfer criteria to a four-year institution at RCC.

Award: Estimated up to $1,000 per semester (fall 2024 & spring 2025). The award amount will be determined based number of qualified applicants and funding availability.

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Applicants will be notified via their RCCD student email account

Application deadline is August 30, 2024
Scholarship funds will be disbursed via BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc.
Recipients of the Finish Line Scholars Program Scholarship will be notified by end of August via their RCCD student email. The scholarship will be included as part of their 2024-2025 financial aid awards and the first disbursement is scheduled for the fall 2024 term.

Funds will be disbursed via BankMobile Disbursements and follow the disbursement after the award notification.

Scholarships awarded may be reported on students' 1098-T tax forms. Please contact your tax specialist on how this may affect you.
